Summer 2026

Small Business Camp, a business development firm led by an RPI alumnus, in partnership with the Center for Smart Convergent Manufacturing Systems (https://cscms.rpi.edu/) at RPI, is launching a remote summer internship program focused on AI, robotics, smart manufacturing, business strategy, and media. 

Students will work on real-world, high-impact projects in cross-functional teams. The program begins in mid-June and is 100% remote. The work hours are flexible: part-time, full-time, or self-paced. Participants may qualify to earn Individual Learning Experience (ILE) credit.

RPI Hosts Launch Event for New Center for Smart Convergent Manufacturing Systems
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) officially cut the ribbon on its new Center for Smart Convergent Manufacturing Systems (CSCMS) during an all-day launch event on October 23, 2025.

Funding from NYSTAR Supports Creation of New Center for Smart Convergent Manufacturing Systems and Renewal of Center for Future Energy Systems at RPI.
